In this program, companies and educational institutions in Niigata Prefecture were featured for their SDG initiatives. NUT was introduced as the only hub university in East Asia to be appointed by the United Nations in 2018 as a hub university for SDG Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) in UNAI (United Nations Academic Impact).

Dr. Nanko explained that the SDGs are goals for realizing the sustainable society and they should be recognized as common global goals for everyone in society as a whole. After that, students introduced SDG educational games developed by students and faculty members of NUT.

This was a valuable opportunity for us to share SDG initiatives of NUT with the local community. NUT will continue to push forward with efforts to achieve the SDGs through collaboration with local communities and educational institutions.
