Exhibited a Booth at “Eco-Action in Mitsuke 2025”

On Sunday, August 10th, Nagaoka University of Technology exhibited our SDGs educational materials at “Eco-Action in Mitsuke 2025,” which was held at Navel Mitsuke in Mitsuke City, as part of our SDGs outreach activities.

On the day of the event, many people visited our booth. They were able to learn about the SDGs while enjoying activities with our Student SDGs Promoters, such as making 20-sided SDGs dice and coloring SDGs pictures. We also exhibited a “Disaster Prevention Breaker Experiment Kit,” which allows participants to learn how to safely restore electricity by operating a circuit breaker and understand the mechanism behind electrical fires. The hands-on experience with the kit made dangers visible by compactly recreating situations that can affect household electrical systems during disasters like earthquakes and floods. This allowed participants to practically learn about the functions of breakers in preventing these dangers, which helped raise their awareness of disaster prevention at home. The activities involving the Disaster Prevention Breaker Experiment Kit contribute to Goal 13: “Climate Action.”

At this event, in addition to our SDGs educational activities, participants were able to experience how our daily lives and the SDGs are deeply connected through the Disaster Prevention Breaker Experiment Kit.

Moving forward, we will continue to plan SDGs-related events and seminars, and work in partnership and cooperation with various organizations and local communities to promote and raise awareness of the SDGs. We appreciate your continued understanding and support for our university’s SDGs activities.
