Movie”Kamui no Uta” of opening day stage greeting

 

Dr. Tsunoda and students watched the movie “Kamui no Uta” .

Yukie Chiri is an Ainu cultural lore expert. She was born in 1903 and died at the age of 19. She is the model for this film. This time, a stage greeting was held to commemorate the release of the film.

The lead actress, Ms. Yoshida, Ms. Shimada, who sang “Yukara,” a traditional Ainu lyric poem in the film, Director Sugawara, and Mayor Kikuchi of Higashikawa Town, Hokkaido, were on the stage.

They will transmit Ainu culture not only to Japan but also to the world through their films. The students listened to the talk earnestly.
