Osaka Univeristy of Tourism has participated in Kumatori-cho Resident Proposal Collaborative Project activity
On Thursday, November 23, 2023, the “Kumatori Regional Revitalization Project Orinasujikan vol. 2”, a Resident Proposal Collaborative Project activity, was held at the Kumatori-cho Brick House・Nakaya Residence.
The event attracted about 3,000 visitors. The event featured a variety of stores selling food and beverages as well as handicrafts. There are also various cultural performances, including a Rakugo show.
Two international students from Osaka University of Tourism participated in the event as volunteers, who were involved in setting up the venue, guiding visitors, and cleaning up.
In addition, the Osaka University of Tourism International Mixed Choir performed [Photos 1, 2, 3] gave a singing performance of four classic and popular pieces.
Our choir’s vocal director, Makoto Nakayama, conducted the choir, and the piano accompaniment was provided by Reina Tsuda (a graduate of the Osaka University of Music’s piano performing program).
Osaka University of Tourism will continue to contribute to the local community and deepen regional cooperation by participating in such community events.
