Special lecture by Tourism Department, Kinki District Transport Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism

On Thursday, June 15th, 2023, in the fourth period of the “Regional Tourism Planning” class (Hitoshi Ota), a special lecture entitled “Tourism Policies and Initiatives in the Kinki and Kansai Regions” was given by the Tourism Department, Kinki District Transport Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

The invited speakers were

Mr. Yasuhiko Honda, Planning and Coordination Officer, Tourism Department, Kinki District Transport Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism

Mr. Yuichiro Fujiwara, Director, International Tourism Division, Tourism Department, Kinki District Transport Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism

Mr. Shota Kondo, Director, Regional Affairs Section, Tourism Promotion Division, Tourism Department, Kinki District Transport Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism

In the lecture, they explained the Kinki District Transport Bureau’s tourism administration, tourism as seen through statistics, future tourism policy, and the Kinki District Transport Bureau’s initiatives.
It was a valuable learning opportunity for the students to learn about the latest tourism policy directly from those in charge of the administration.
