Our Student Volunteers Participated in “Mizuma Aizen Odori Dance” Festival
Twelve students participated as volunteers in the Mizuma Aizen Odori, an annual summer event held at Mizuma Kannon in Kaizuka City.
This volunteer activity was part of a project undertaken by Kaizuka City, KIX Senshu Tourism Bureau, and Kansai Airport Corporation to provide foreign tourists staying in the Rinku Town area with an opportunity to experience Japanese Bon Odori dancing.
On the day of the event, the students also helped guide visitors around Kaizuka Station on the Nankai and Mizuma Railway and the venue.
Some of the international students were experiencing Japanese Bon Odori dancing for the first time, and while performing as volunteers on site, they were able to wear yukata (light cotton kimono), making it a precious and memorable summer evening.
