Conducting an International Exchange with Kishiwada Municipal Yamataki Junior High School
On Friday, January 31, 2025, three of our students and a few faculty members were invited by Kishiwada Municipal Yamataki Junior High School and, following last year’s event, organized an exchange program by sending international students from our university.
This year, the program was held for second-year students under the theme of “Experiencing Global Cuisine and Food Culture.” A Mongolian student from our university demonstrated the preparation of Tsuiwan, a traditional Mongolian dish.
The junior high school students were divided into groups and challenged themselves to prepare various international dishes and sweets.

At the end of the activity, each group sampled the sweets they had made, learning about different cultures through food. The students also had the opportunity to ask the international students various questions, such as their favorite Japanese food and why they came to Japan. This exchange provided a valuable opportunity for the students to gain insight into how Japan is perceived globally through interaction and food.
