Our Students Win Excellence Award and Startup Idea Award at the “Youth Startup Contest”

At the “Youth Startup Contest” held on June 28 and hosted by the Kansai Korean Residents Union in Japan, students from our university won both the Excellence Award and the Startup Idea Award. This contest invites young aspiring entrepreneurs to compete with innovative business plans and feasible ideas. This year, 12 teams participated.

■ Excellence Award
Recipients: Mr. Lee Sang-kun, Mr. Lee Hyun-jun, Mr. Han Jae-min, Mr. Ham Tae-kyung
Project Title: Re:memory
Overview:
This project utilizes AI and VR technologies to categorize photos taken during travel and other experiences by elements such as “time,” “location,” and “emotion.” Based on the user’s preferences, the program recreates memorable scenes in a VR space. The project was highly praised for its creation of new value by enabling the visualization and re-experiencing of personal memories, offering emotional resonance for individuals.


■ Startup Idea Award
Recipients: Ms. Han Bi-in, Ms. Kim Na-yoon
Project Title: Study Café “Yukkuri Aruku” (Walk Slowly)
Overview:
This business idea proposes a “study café” that offers a welcoming space where students can casually drop in, relax, and focus on studying or completing assignments. The concept was commended for its accurate understanding of student needs and for aiming to create a space where both learning and relaxation can coexist.


Our students achieved remarkable results by leveraging originality and keen insight into social issues.
We will continue to foster creativity and a spirit of challenge in our students while strengthening our efforts to nurture individuals who can make meaningful contributions to society.
