International Exchange by International Students of Osaka University of Tourism at Habikino City Takawashi Minami Elementary School

On Thursday, July 3, 2025, two international students from Osaka University of Tourism visited Takawashi Minami Elementary School in Habikino City at the school’s invitation. They gave a presentation about their home countries to a group of fifth-grade students.

Our university participates in the “TEAM EXPO 2025” program’s “Co-Creation Challenge,” promoting student-led initiatives aimed at realizing the theme of the Osaka-Kansai Expo—”Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” This activity was part of the university’s “Regional Exchange Project for Multicultural Coexistence,” which is conducted as one of those initiatives.

On the day of the event, Hoang Thi Ngoc Anh, a fourth-year student from Vietnam, and Rokhka Kavita, also a fourth-year student from Nepal, gave presentations using PowerPoint. They introduced their respective countries’ cuisine, cultural customs, and tourist attractions. The elementary school students listened attentively, and the session was followed by many questions, creating a lively opportunity for international exchange.

Osaka University of Tourism will continue to engage in such community-based initiatives to promote international understanding and contribute to the realization of a multicultural and inclusive society.
