In the second semester of FY 2025 in the course Tourism and Ethics, we provided an explanation of the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism (GCET)
On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in the compulsory course “Tourism and Ethics” at Osaka University of Tourism, we provided an explanation of the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism (GCET).
During the class, we explained step-by-step the ten articles of the GCET, and introduced the fundamental ideas of the GCET as well as the importance of an ethical perspective in tourism. We deepened students’ understanding of the basic attitudes required when engaged in tourism, such as promoting sustainable tourism and considering the needs of local communities and cultures.

Going forward, our university will continue to enhance education so that students studying tourism can act with ethical and international perspectives.
