The state and challenges of ‘inclusive’ parks
In recent years, creating places and playgrounds in urban parks by the name of ‘inclusive’ is a common movement. However, as there are no clear definitions of the term ‘inclusive’ the initiatives of local authorities and others are currently being promoted on a trial-and-error basis.
In the seminar, the future of inclusive-orientated playgrounds was discussed through sharing trends and issues carried out in Japan. It is important that both constructors and users mutually understand the current situations and needs.
