Report of NMUN-EUROPE(Czech)

KCUFS sent a delegation of 12 students to NMUN-Europe held in Olomouc, Czech Republic from 22-28 November. Delegates represented the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Korea respectively. They were assigned to participate in 4 committees under the United Nations. As part of the whole program, we were privileged to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial, Museum Concentration Camp and historic sites in Prague as well. Students enjoyed not just the conference but also the cultural visit to learn history and culture there.

Since over the last few years, only a small delegation of 2 or 4 students has been sent from KCUFS. Taking next year’s NMUN-Japan into consideration, 16 persons including professors and university staff were sent this time.

At the closing ceremony, the student representative of KCUFS made a speech welcoming delegates to visit Kobe next year and we got a big hand from the participants in the end. Overall, we had many things to learn in terms of the way to organize the conference next year and enjoyed the whole conference. We would like to utilize this experience in Czech to be successful next year.
