An Introduction to Kyoto University of Education
Our university, a national teacher’s college, is deeply engaged in enterprises relevant to UNAI. For example, in our Globally Competent Human Resources Development enterprises we are carrying out a teacher-training program to develop awareness of and involvement in both local and global communities. Furthermore, our Issues in Education Enterprise is focused on raising awareness regarding moral and human rights issues. Also, within our curriculum there are numerous courses related to citizenship, peace education, environmental education, and other courses relevant to human rights education.
We agree with all of the ten principles, and will focus our efforts on the following 2: 1)Education for All―A commitment to educational opportunity for all people regardless of gender, race, religion or ethnicity; 2)Global Citizenship―A commitment to encouraging global citizenship through education
