The 5th GTP Alliance Meeting was held. (2019.11.7)
On Thursday, November 7, the 5th GTP Alliance Meeting was held at Machinaka Campus Nagaoka. In this meeting, NUT invited stakeholders from the countries and regions in which NUT has established overseas bases to have an interaction among GIGAKU Techno Park (GTP) networks, exchange information, and form personal relationships.
After the address of President Dr. Nobuhiko AZUMA, Prof. Takaomi KOBAYASHI explained GTP activities. Also, Assoc. Prof. Toru SASAKI (in charge of Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam), Prof. Gustavo Capilla G. (University of Guanajuato, Mexico), and Assoc. Prof. Nagul Cooharojananone (Churalongkorn University, Thailand) introduced examples of GTP activities. Then, Mr.Yasuhiro MINAGAWA (Minagawa Corporation) and Mr. Takumi SHOYAMA (Uekatsu Industry Co., Ltd.) introduced examples of their industry-academia collaborations.
Following that, participants from companies actively exchanged opinions about overseas situations with coordinators from Mongolia, Mexico, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Spain, and faculty in charge. At the end of the meeting, Executive Director and Vice-president Prof. Kiyoshi OHISHI gave closing remarks.
Approximately 80 people, including companies in Niigata prefecture that are interested in global expansion and international industry-academia collaboration attended the meeting, and the meeting was completed with great success.
We will continue to actively support the development of practical engineers and the globalization of local SMEs through GTP activities.
