An event on SDGs was held for local high school students, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in Viet Nam
On Saturday, January 20, with the generous grant support of the Howmet Aerospace Foundation, TE×DI, an engineering awareness team, our faculty member and students including Student SDGs Promoters, conducted the workshop at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
The workshop included two activities: “Making bookmarks using calligraphy and paper chromatography” and “Making accessories using microplastics,” along with lectures on the technology and science. The workshop was interpreted by our GTP (GIGAKU Techno Park Network) coordinators from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and students from the Twinning Program.
About 30 participants eagerly engaged in the workshop and listened intently to the lecture on Viet Nam’s current status of marine plastics emissions. In Viet Nam, awareness of SDGs has just begun, so we hope that this workshop will accelerate the interest in the SDGs.
