EVENT | September 7, 2015 | Think Globally, Act Locally – commemorative event

Next year will mark 60 years since Japan became a member state of the United Nations. To commemorate this occasion – with support from the government – valuable film records from Japan’s many collaborations with the UN have been digitized. In the lead up to a screening of the material, the Cabinet Public Relations Office in cooperation with Tohoku University and the United Nations Information Centre is holding four events, including this event.

Based on the theme, “Think Globally, Act Locally,” the event aims to discuss the need for increasing environmentalism in a global context, by focussing on regional issues.
