【Nihon Fukushi University】About approach of local cooperation

Since 2014, the University has been fostering “FUKUSHI Meister” as a project adopted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

Issues such as declining birthrate and aging and regional revitalization of 5 cities and 5 towns of the Chita Peninsula (Tokai City, Obu City, Chita City, Tokoname City, Handa City, Higashiura Town, Agui Town, Taketoyo Town, Mihama Town, Minami Chita Town) Based on this, we promote education through regional collaboration. We will cultivate “FUKUSHI Meister,” a human resource that supports the social society with citizen power, discovery power, initiative and resolution. First certified FUKUSHI Meister for graduates at the end of 2018. We were able to certify 648, the majority of graduates.

In addition, we are promoting the “regional collaboration platform” that promotes exchanges between local people and students / faculty staff, brings together local issues, and solves them. In order to revitalize the research, we created a registration system called “Region (Knowledge) Meister / Region(Knowledge) Field”. As of July 2019, 49 Meisters and 41 fields are registered.

This university-wide initiative under a sustainable system was established in March 2019 as the “Regional Cooperation Policy” and was developed, research, social contribution.
