On November 29, 2020, the 4th OPU, OCU and KU’s Japanese Speech Contest for International Students was held online. The event was organized by Osaka Prefecture University, Osaka City University and Kansai University.
Six international students gave speeches on the theme of “Cross-cultural exchange “.
Ling WENBIAO (China, College of Engineering) got the silver prize and audience award. Also Deng HAOYU (China, College of Engineering) got the incentive award.
We hope that this event will encourage international students to learn Japanese language and culture, and have various cultural experiences during their stay in Japan.
Comments from Ling WENBIAO
I am really glad that I was able to participate in this OPU, OCU and KU’s Japanese Speech Contest 2020. I’m a little disappointed that I couldn’t win the gold prize, but I learned a lot from various people who gave me speech techniques and some advice about Japanese. And I was happy to make friends with other contestants from other universities in the contest. If you are interested in Japanese like me, please challenge the Japanese Speech Contest for International Students next year.
