First and second year junior high school students from Aichi Prefectural Toyohashi Special Needs School visited TUT
On September 22, first and second year junior high school students from Aichi Prefectural Toyohashi Special Needs School visited Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT).
Toyohashi Special Needs School is a special needs school for children with physical disabilities, and this was the second time for us to host the students.
The seven students first visited the Interaction and Communication Design Laboratory, where they were briefed by the lab students and enjoyed talking and interacting with many <“weak” robots>.
In the afternoon, they visited the Robot Contest Culb to see up close the robot that won the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2023.
Although it was a short visit, the students were able to experience two of the University’s <“weak” robots> and <strong robot>.
